The accolades just keep rolling in.

Strine’s Heating and Air Conditioning has again been voted the Best of York County by the 87,000 readers of the York Sunday News.

Strine’s was recognized as being the County’s best heating and air conditioning service provider, and Barry Strine, president of Strine’s, said, “We’d like to thank all of our loyal customers for helping us receive this recognition.”

This comes on the heels of Susquehanna Style magazine naming Strine’s No. 1 in the “York County’s Heating & Cooling, Residential” category in the magazine’s annual “Who’s Who in Business.” The results, the magazine says, are “a statistically accurate survey of consumer preference conducted in the Susquehanna Valley.”

Also, Strine’s received word that it is a winner of the 2012 Angie’s List Super Service Award, “exclusive recognition given annually to approximately the top 5 percent of service companies who achieved and maintained a superior service rating on Angie’s List throughout the past year.”

Angie’s List (angieslist.com) is “a word-of-mouth network, helping more than 1.5 million households find the best service companies and health care in their area.”

“We are honored to be recognized by these organizations and promise to do everything we can to live up to the high expectations our customers have for us,” Barry said.

When the York Daily Record/York Sunday News asked York County residents to name the area’s top performers in 96 separate retail and service categories, more than 11,000 people filled ballots.

They voted for everything from the best donut and the best convenience store to the best massage and the best dry cleaner.

They also voted for the area’s best heating and air conditioning service providers, and we’re delighted to learn that Strine’s was one of York County’s favorites.

As the newspaper said in unveiling the winners, “The Best of York of 2012 shows us why our county is so special. We support the businesses that go above and beyond and we recognize those efforts.“

We’re thrilled to be on the receiving end of that recognition.

Strine’s Heating and Air Conditioning, of York, PA, has been honored for performing more air conditioning tune-ups during 2011 than any of the 429 contractors who participated in the HVAC Tune-up Rebate Program in Met-Ed’s service area. Strine’s completed 1,326 residential HVAC tune-ups in 2011.

In fact, Strine’s performance surpassed all other participating contractors in all of FirstEnergy’s Pennsylvania utility service areas. More than 690 contractors worked on the program in the Met-Ed, Penelec, and Penn Power service areas. The recognition was provided by Honeywell, the administrator of the residential HVAC Tune-Up Rebate Program for FirstEnergy’s utilities in Pennsylvania.

As part of Act 129 of 2008, Pennsylvania’s seven largest electric utilities are required to reduce electricity consumption and peak demand. Through its HVAC Tune-up Rebate Program, FirstEnergy’s utilities provide rebates for maintenance of air conditioning equipment to their Pennsylvania residential customers. This program is one of several offered by FirstEnergy’s utilities to meet Act 129 requirements.

It’s not too late to take advantage of the rebate program. Air conditioning system tune-ups performed by participating contractors such as Strine’s Heating and Air Conditioning in the Met-Ed service area between April 1, 2011, and May 31, 2013, are eligible for a rebate amount of $60 (or $75 if an electronically commutated motor fan was replaced as part of the tune-up).
